The current stage of work involves the installation of bore pile foundations and diaphragm walls, a.k.a. retaining walls. This process is an important stage before the main contractor commences construction of the structure in June this year.

In tune with the emerging public awareness of the importance of environmental sustainability and energy savings, the development at South Quarter has adopted environmentally friendly principles since the very beginning. This continues at SQ Rés, where for example the building façade uses an overhang to reduce direct sunlight entering through the windows. The buildings also use a type of double-glazed glass to improve the thermal performance of the façade and cut the use of electrical energy for air conditioning needs.
“The double-glazed glass has the function of being able to reduce exposure to sunlight and noise coming into the rooms, so that the use of air conditioners and electricity becomes more efficient. With these benefits it can certainly improve the quality of life in harmony with the balance of nature and the environment,” said Kundarso.

Located in a 1.3-hectare development area, SQ Rés consists of two 21-story apartment towers with a total of 700 residential units. Various types are available. For people who want compact apartment units, the Studio Unit has an area of 30 m2. Meanwhile, 1-bedroom units have areas of 36 m2 or 45 m2, 1 bedroom + study units have an area of 60 m2, and 2-bedroom units have areas of 86 m2 or 93 m2. For consumers who want even more space and flexibility, the Dual Key unit has an area of 117 m2.
