The award was presented at the FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence Awards Gala Dinner in Lido, Paris, France, on June 9, 2022. The FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence Awards 2022 is organized by the International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI) as a form of appreciation and recognition of the world’s best property masterpieces that are innovative and outstanding in a number of key aspects.
FIABCI World President Elect 2022-2023 Budiasa Sastrawinata had the opportunity to represent the Indonesian contingent and Intiland received the World Gold Winner award trophy directly from Jordi Ribó, FIABCI World President 2021-2022.

Intiland’s Founder and President Director Hendro S. Gondokusumo expressed his pride and appreciation to all parties for the achievements and awards received by South Quarter. “This award makes us proud as an Indonesian developer. This achievement is a form of world recognition of the quality of our national property, which is proven to be able to compete in the international arena. This is a joint achievement that hopefully inspires other developers to produce the best property developments that can increase Indonesia’s competitiveness and image in the eyes of the world,” he said.

This award complements a series of awards and recognitions previously won by South Quarter in various property competition events at the national and regional levels.

The FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence Awards are competitions and awards given to property developments that have the best excellence in all real estate disciplines. Held every year by the FIABCI Federation, headquartered in Paris, France, this awards show illustrates FIABCI’s aspiration to provide the community with optimal solutions to their property needs. As the most famous property award and competition event in the world, the judging process is carried out independently by an international panel of judges consisting of leading real estate professionals and experts who value the overall excellence of the property, not just aesthetics, functionality, or the scale and size of the project.

Hendro S. Gondokusumo revealed that South Quarter is Intiland’s third project to win the FIABCI Prix d’Excellence Awards. In addition to the World Gold Winner award for the low-rise residential category, which was obtained by Serenia Hills last year, the Regatta apartment located at Pantai Mutiara, North Jakarta also won the Bali Congress Awards as one of the best apartments in the world at the 2010 FIABCI Prix d’Excellence Awards held at Nusa Dua Bali Bali 27 May 2010.
“South Quarter is one of the key projects for Intiland’s long-term growth. The development of the South Quarter has strategic value, not only because of its long-term development investment, but also the application and adoption of environmentally friendly concepts and principles as well as green building principles,” said Gondokusumo.

South Quarter Office is the first stage of development of the South Quarter integrated area of 7.1 hectares in Cilandak, on the TB Simatupang corridor in South Jakarta. The first phase of development includes three office towers and supporting retail facilities on an area of 4.4 hectares. The three 20-floor office towers have a total area of 123,000 square meters, and are equipped with a DOME building as a supporting retail facility with an area of 12,500 square meters.

Permadi Indra Yoga Director as Intiland’s Business Development Director explained that South Quarter is an integrated office area designed with a unique design and prioritizing the application of environmentally friendly elements. South Quarter is one of the green buildings in Jakarta and has obtained Gold Certification for Existing Building from the Green Building Council Indonesia (GBCI). South Quarter has a unique design with a curved and organic shape inspired by traditional Indonesian rattan baskets. The three towers are connected by a green canopy with the Dome area in the middle so as to present a unique, efficient, and environmentally friendly design.

The façade of the South Quarter building is oriented east to west to minimize exposure to direct sunlight. The façade is also designed to adjust the direction of the sun’s rays according to the solar path diagram so that the cooling load can be kept to a minimum.

“The configuration of the three towers is facing each other so as to create a self-shading effect as a passive design feature. This advantage coupled with the use of double façades in the form of window walls and louvre facades can reduce the cooling load by up to 21% based on simulation results throughout the year,” said Permadi Indra Yoga.

The architectural design of South Quarter was designed by world-class architect Tom Wright, the man behind the Burj Al-Arab hotel in Dubai and the Regatta Apartments. The superiority in terms of design and operation of South Quarter has made the office component, which has been developed since 2014, a frequent recipient of various awards at national and international levels.
Among the awards received by South Quarter is Best Office Architectural Design at the 2016 South East Asia Property Awards. In the same year, South Quarter also won Best Office Architectural Design Indonesia, Best Commercial Development, and Best Office Development awards at the 2016 Indonesia Property Awards. hosted by PropertyGuru Group. South Quarter also won second place in the 2017 Subroto Awards, a national energy efficiency award organized by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Indonesia.

The office also received the ‘Appreciation on Water Conservation’ award at the ‘Green Building Appreciation & Innovation Day: Buildings Re-Invented’ event organized by Schneider Indonesia and Green Building Council Indonesia.

“This award further encourages us to continue to present the best properties for the people of Indonesia. This appreciation and recognition is at the same time a form of our commitment to loyal customers, strategic partners, and investors who have entrusted their investment to Intiland so far,” said Permadi Indra Yoga.

South Quarter is an integrated office and residential area development designed to meet business and residential needs for people who pay attention to environmental aspects. Intiland sees that the demand for office space in Jakarta continues to increase in line with the improving investment climate and macroeconomic conditions.

“People’s need for easily accessible business and residential places continues to increase along with high mobility. South Quarter is able to answer the community’s needs for the availability of strategic business and residential places with easy access to both public and private transportation, as well as being developed with a sustainable concept,” said Permadi Indra Yoga.

Carrying an excellent regional development concept, Intiland has succeeded in making South Quarter one of the favorite office areas in south Jakarta. Its strategic location is only seven minutes from the JORR toll gate, five minutes from the TB Simatupang central business district, and five minutes from Lebak Bulus MRT Station and Fatmawati MRT Station.

Currently, South Quarter is a favorite choice for a number of multinational and national companies. It is noted that a number of multinational companies from various industries have chosen South Quarter for their offices, such as Citibank, General Electric, Calmic, Tupperware, and Darya-Varia.
Having successfully developed the first phase of South Quarter, Intiland has now started the second phase of development, namely the construction of two apartment towers at SQ Rés. The construction process is almost complete and topping off was conducted on June 18, 2022.
